This was taken with the DV700 camera with the aperture full open, no filters, and a 19 lens.  The idea here is to use practical lighting as much as possible.

I'm very happy with the light/dark contrast that the JVC DV700 can handle.  The contrast is very natural feeling.  It's under exposed a little, but I feel it adds to the ambiance and mood of the photograph.  The camera handles it beautifully.
