A Murderer Amongst Friends'

A script supervisor's job is to make sure that the actors are saying the correct lines as well as verifying that all the action is covered according to the plan.

The script supervisor is an extremely important role.  On 'A Murderer Amongst Friends' the film will be in real time (or enhanced real time, as it were).  This means that any continuity errors will be very obvious and there will be no way to edit around them.

If you wish to be the script supervisor for 'A Murderer Amongst Friends' please email Marc Atwood.  It is not necessary that you have any film experience, but you must be diligent, have an awesome ability for attention to detail, and you must work well others.

As a script supervisor you will likely be told, "Nah, don't worry about that."  About 20 times a day.  It's the one time in 50 that we'll kiss your feet for noticing a discrepancy.  Of course, if we're running around with our heads cut off, simply go over and move the ashtray the actor moved in the last take or button his shirt which popped open.  It's a very small crew.  Job duties will blur quite a bit once we actually get shooting.  It's the script supervisor's job to stay focused and to do little else but the job of verifying shots and continuity.  If the script supervisor is running errands then it's very possible that we'll have to re-shoot.  The script supervisor is the person that keeps the rest of the crew honest and on their toes.

It not an artistically creative position, but it's an extremely important role.

There is no pay for any BTTH position.  Contracts will be drawn that determine the percentage of net profits.  Any expense you incur during the filming is your own.  If you wish to invest in the film in any form; separate arrangements will be made.
